Rare vintage sterling silver drop earrings attributed to / by Theresia Hvorslev of Sweden, featuring a striking sculptural modernist design with organic brutalist texture. Each earring has a small rounded top element connected to a long tapered drop, ending in a dimensional, hand-formed abstract petal or lily-pad shape. The surface has a beautifully irregular hammered/cast texture that catches the light from every angle, giving the earrings a molten, sculptural quality.

These earrings are a wonderful example of Scandinavian modernist jewelry — bold yet wearable, with an expressive organic form that feels both naturalistic and avant-garde. The design has movement from the articulated connector and a dramatic elongated silhouette, making them especially appealing to collectors of Swedish silver, Nordic modernist jewelry, and 1960s–1970s studio artisan pieces.

Theresia Hvorslev is recognized as an important Swedish jewelry designer and silversmith; her work is associated with bold organic forms, Scandinavian material sensitivity, and major Swedish silver firms including Alton and Mema.

Theresia Hvorslev (1935 -2024) studied at the National College of Art HKS in Stockholm, then worked as an apprentice at Georg Jensen in Copenhagen and Bernadotte and Bjőrn architect design studio. She won several awards including the Diamonds International Awards three times, and is now recognized as Sweden's foremost jewelry designer of all time as she is the only Swede to have won the Diamond International Awards 3 times. As well as the only Swede to ever win the competition. In the industry, the competition is usually compared to the Oscars of the jewelry world. Her work is represented in the collections of several museums in Scandinavia and the Cooper-Hewitt Museum in New York.
