Striking vintage sterling silver pendant necklace featuring a detailed Nordic Viking ship / longboat design suspended from a sterling silver chain. The pendant has a wonderful sculptural presence, with raised and stamped detailing throughout the ship form, including stylized dragon-head ends, shield-like circular accents, and two small seated figures at the center.
The lower portion of the pendant is finished with five articulated paddle-like dangles, giving the piece subtle movement and a dramatic tribal / Scandinavian revival feel. The design has a beautifully handcrafted look, with dimensional construction and decorative repoussé-style texture that catches the light from different angles.
