A refined example of Danish modernist jewelry by Arne Johansen, this substantial sterling silver brooch is defined by the purity of its form, fluid asymmetry, and beautifully controlled sculptural line.
Created circa the 1950s, the design has a distinctly architectural quality while remaining wonderfully organic. Its smooth, abstract silhouette is enhanced by a highly polished, mirror-like finish that reflects light dramatically and gives the piece a striking sense of depth and movement.
At 12.7 grams, the brooch has a pleasing solidity in the hand and the substantial feel associated with quality Scandinavian studio silver. The craftsmanship is precise yet understated, allowing the simplicity of the form itself to take center stage.
The brooch remains in excellent vintage condition, showing only minimal age-appropriate wear. Because of the exceptionally reflective finish, dark lines or variations visible in photographs are reflections rather than damage to the silver.
A silver brooch-to-pendant converter is also included, allowing the piece to be worn as either a brooch or pendant.
About Arne Johansen
Arne Johansen was born in 1927 and qualified as a silversmith in 1951 before establishing his workshop in Roskilde, Denmark, in 1954. His family later became involved in the production and sale of his work, and the workshop remained active until 1993. Johansen’s jewelry is admired for its clarity of line, elegant simplicity, substantial use of silver, and exceptional craftsmanship—qualities that place his work firmly within the tradition of mid-century Danish modernist design.
Returns policy
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags (if applicable) and in its original packaging.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
