Fully Restored Vintage Welby Postmodern Memphis Style Wall Shelf Clock — Circa 1980s

Fantastic vintage Welby wall-hanging shelf clock, fully restored and reimagined in a bold Postmodern Memphis-inspired color palette.

This wonderfully unusual piece combines three functions in one: wall clock, sculptural wall art, and display shelf. Its geometric silhouette and playful proportions already have a strong 1980s Postmodern feel, and the restored finish gives it an even more graphic, design-forward presence.

The original clock face and mechanism have been preserved, and the clock remains fully functional. The surrounding wood structure has been refinished in a lively combination of bright, contrasting colors inspired by the Memphis design movement, giving the piece a fresh contemporary look while still honoring its unmistakably 1980s character.

At 22.5 inches wide and 18 inches high, this is a substantial wall piece with enough scale to become a focal point on its own. The integrated shelf adds both visual interest and practical display space—perfect for a small plant, favorite ceramic, collectible object, or other lightweight decorative accent.

This clock would be especially fun in a Postmodern, Memphis, eclectic, maximalist, contemporary, retro, or colorful Mid-Century-inspired interior, and would be equally at home in a creative studio, office, kitchen, entryway, bedroom, or gallery wall arrangement.

Restoration: This piece is part of my ongoing restoration collection, created to preserve vintage decorative art and return deserving pieces to beautiful display condition. I have restored over 50 sculptures and countless other home decor and furniture.

The wood body has been carefully restored and refinished in a vibrant Memphis-inspired palette. The original Welby clock face and working mechanism were retained, and the piece is ready to hang and enjoy.

Any photographs showing furniture or additional décor are included only to demonstrate styling and scale. Only the sculpture is included with the purchase.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
