Fantastic pair of sterling silver modernist floral themed earrings and large matching brooch by the iconic Paul Lobel. They are in excellent condition with no damage of any kind. Pinback works properly on the brooch and the earrings are screw back style. They could easily and inexpensively be converted to post back earrings by a jeweler. Exciting and rare collector's set. The set has recently been professionally polished and look phenomenal. Please excuse the lines or reflections, as they are extremely shiny and hard to photograph.

Paul Lobel (1899-1983) New York, NY & Provincetown, RI - Industrial Designer, sculptor & jeweler.  Jewelry from c.1943. Romanian born Paul Lobel, one of the most well-known of the mid-20th Century modernist jewelers, was also a successful painter, cartoonist, sculptor, and designer of glass, furniture and hollowware. From modest beginnings on Manhattan's Lower Eat Side, Lobel rose to achieve a one-man show in Paris in 1925, two awards at the International Exposition of Decorative Arts in Paris in 1937, and 2 exhibitions at the American Museum of Modern Art in NYC. He was one of a handful modernist jewelers accredited with the wearable art movement in Greenwich Village, along with the likes of Art Smith, Bill Tendler, Sam Kramer, Jules Brenner, Ed Wiener and Henry Steig.
