A spectacular vintage French Champagne cooler created for the legendary House of Taittinger, this exceptionally substantial pewter vessel is as much a piece of sculptural barware as it is a functional wine cooler.
Crafted in France by L’Orfèvrerie d’Anjou, the cooler features an elegant elongated bateau, or boat-shaped, silhouette raised upon a graceful oval pedestal base. Its unusually slim profile opens dramatically across the top, allowing several bottles of Champagne to be presented together in a beautiful fan-like arrangement — making it particularly striking for entertaining, celebrations, a private bar, or an elegant dining setting.
The softly lustrous pewter surface is decorated with a subtle concentric linear texture that follows the curvature of the vessel and beautifully catches the light. Both sides are ornamented with the distinctive Count Thibaud IV medallion, positioned above the bold black CHAMPAGNE TAITTINGER signature. The repetition of the design on both sides makes the cooler equally impressive from every viewing angle.
Inside is the original clear Lucite bottle support, positioned near the base of the cooler and fitted with two raised pegs designed to help elevate and stabilize bottles within the ice.
At an impressive 19 inches wide and weighing approximately 12 pounds, this is a commanding piece with wonderful presence. Filled with Champagne bottles and ice, it becomes an extraordinary centerpiece; displayed empty, its streamlined sculptural form makes it equally beautiful as a decorative object.
The cooler remains in very good gently used vintage condition. There are light surface scratches and signs of use consistent with age, along with natural oxidation and patina to the pewter. It has been lightly cleaned but has not been aggressively polished, allowing the next owner to preserve the existing vintage character or polish it further according to preference. There are no dents, cracks, or significant structural damage.
The underside of the pedestal bears the French maker’s mark along with “Made in France” and “Étain,” identifying the material as pewter.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
