Striking vintage Austin Productions sculpture titled “Spring,” designed by Alexander Danel and dated 1989, featuring a stylized nude female figure in a dramatic arched pose.
The composition is fluid, sensual, and highly sculptural, with the figure leaning backward in a sweeping curve that emphasizes the elongated torso, limbs, and flowing hair. The pose creates a strong sense of movement and tension while remaining elegant and refined.
The simplified contours and rhythmic treatment of the hair give the piece a distinct late-20th-century modernist character, with subtle Art Deco and Streamline Moderne influence. From different angles, the sculpture shifts between figurative study and architectural form, making it especially striking as a statement piece in a curated interior.
At 19 inches wide and weighing approximately 20 pounds, this is a substantial example with impressive visual presence. It displays beautifully on a console, pedestal, credenza, or low cabinet.
Cast in Austin Productions’ proprietary Durastone, the sculpture is made from a dense crushed-stone composite material that was hand-cast and hand-finished.
This example has been fully restored and refinished in a rich metallic bronze acrylic finish, chosen to emphasize the contours of the figure and the flowing sculptural details. A heavy protective lacquer top coat has been applied, and new felt has been added to the underside of the base.
This sculpture is part of my ongoing restoration collection, created to preserve vintage decorative art and return deserving pieces to beautiful display condition. I have restored over 50 sculptures.
Condition: Fully restored and in excellent display condition with no chips, cracks, or structural damage.
Any photographs showing furniture or additional décor are included only to demonstrate styling and scale. Only the sculpture is included with the purchase.
Returns policy
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags (if applicable) and in its original packaging.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
