Striking vintage Austin Productions sculpture titled “The Searcher,” designed by David Fisher and dated 1984, featuring an elegantly elongated female profile rendered in a dramatic sweeping modernist form.
The sculpture has a beautifully serene presence, with closed eyes, a finely modeled face, and long flowing linear contours that extend down the length of the figure before curling inward at the base. The exaggerated vertical silhouette gives the piece a graceful architectural quality, while the simplified facial features and stylized hair create subtle echoes of Art Deco, Native American, and late-20th-century figurative modernism.
At 22 inches tall, this is an especially substantial version with strong visual presence. The narrow profile keeps it elegant rather than bulky, making it ideal for a console, pedestal, credenza, entryway, or curated art display.
Cast in Austin Productions’ proprietary Durastone, the sculpture is made from a dense crushed-stone composite material that was hand-cast and hand-finished.
This example has been fully restored and refinished in a soft ivory / warm off-white finish, chosen to emphasize the clean sculptural lines and serene facial features. The black base has been refinished for crisp contrast and a gallery-style presentation.
This sculpture is part of my ongoing restoration collection, created to preserve vintage decorative art and return deserving pieces to beautiful display condition. I have restored over 50 sculptures.
Condition: Fully restored and in excellent display condition with no chips, cracks, or structural damage.
Any photographs showing furniture or additional décor are included only to demonstrate styling and scale. Only the sculpture is included with the purchase.
Returns policy
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags (if applicable) and in its original packaging.

If your return request is accepted, we will email you with the return address and any additional information needed. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
