Gorgeous MCM Ceramic and brass retro atomic accent lamp by the 20th Century lamp maker Falkenstein. Lamp features a glossy pink ceramic body with gold splatter accents, brass base, harp and finial as well is an ornate accent separator piece. Most of the brass pieces have been given a light coat of gold enamel and a heavy clear top coat to them freshen up and preserve them for many many years of enjoyment. The ceramic body is in mint condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. New felt add to the bottom and all the wiring has been check to insure there is no damage, fray or loose connections. Lamp is in perfect working order. Lampshade has been professionally cleaned and restitched with new leather cord and fitted with a new brass centerpiece adapter.
Carl Falkenstein's lamp factory in Philadelphia produced lamps from the 1940s to the 1960s. Falkenstein lamps were often decorated with bronze clay or sludge, and some early models were similar to the "Gone With the Wind" style lamps that were popular in the late 1940s. Markings: The underside of the base of a Falkenstein lamp may have a number and the name Falkenstein. Some also have the letter F on the socket and key.
Falkenstein lamps were likely made and purchased during the late 1950s to early 1960s, when early American furniture was popular.
